The scientific and spiritual realms are often thought to be at odds – but upon closer examination, there are many areas in which they overlap. By tuning into the intersection of science and spirituality and drawing on practices from both, we can bring about healing to lead happier, healthier, more fulfilled lives.

As a trained scientist who serves as the Executive Vice President and Clinical Director of the Heads Up Guidance and Wellness Centers of Nevada, a practicing Buddhist, and teacher of Huna at the School of Permanent Spiritual Empowerment in Kona, Hawaii, Dr. Patrick Scott has extensively studied both scientific and spiritual practices. In Episode 119 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, Dr. Scott shares more about his personal and professional background and discusses the following:

  • Four steps to follow when trying to tap into your intuitive guidance to lead a more joyful, balanced, and productive life
  • The concept of our core wounds, or harmful beliefs that we all have such as “I’m not enough” or “I’m an imposter,” and how both scientific and spiritual practices can help us overcome these wounds
  • The restorative power of meditation and the science behind what happens in the brain when we meditate
  • The similarities between prayer and meditation, and how both can help us connect with the higher vibrational realm of the spirit
